Children's (and parents) Pie Baking Contest Registration Form
This is open to any child 2 years old to 18 years old. NOTE: Do NOT allow children to operate the oven without supervision. This is a "child's contest" but only in the way of preparing the pie to be baked or decorating the pie once it has cooled. We ask that adults actually bake the pie for them. In other words, parents and grandparents, you will be making a pie with the help of little hands for them to enter the contest. For children in the 13-18 age group, adults please use your own discretion.
There is no entry fee to enter the contest. This is a Pay It Forward lesson for children. All we ask is that you explain to the children that it is a contest for fun but the pie they are making will help the food pantry be able to purchase food for those in need.
Due to lack of refrigeration, only fruit pies will be accepted. Such as blueberry, apple, cherry, etc
Judging will be based on taste, appearance and overall appeal by the Bristol Homecoming Queens
Entrees will be divided into four age categories:
- 2yrs - 4 yrs
- 5 yrs - 7 yrs
- 8 yrs - 12 yrs
- 13 yrs - 18 yrs
A 4 x 6 card with receipe and your name is required with pie.
All pies must be in a non-returnable pan
Pies must be dropped off at 9:30 a.m on Sept 25th with the judging starting at 10:15 a.m.
Pies will be available for purchase after the judging with proceeds benefitting the Bristol Food Pantry.
All participants will receive a ribbon
